【コロナ】アメリカで”非米国市民”でも給付金をもらえるの？

コロナウイルス救済救済法（CARES）法によると、米国に住んで働いている社会保障番号（SSN)を持つ米国以外の市民は、グリーンカード保持者やH-1BやH-2Aなどのビザを使用する労働者を含み、 小切手を受け取る資格があると宣言しています。

ただし、グリーンカードを持っていない「非居住者」は受け取ることができません。
（旅行者や留学生など）

 

According to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, non-U.S. citizens with a Social Security number who live and work here, including green card holders and workers using visas such as H-1B and H-2A, are eligible to receive checks.

“Non-resident aliens” who do not have green cards will not receive them.

All single taxpayers earning up to $75,000 will receive $1,200. For each qualifying child under 17, a single taxpayer will receive $500. Employed, unemployed and self-employed taxpayers can qualify, as long as you filed your 2018 or 2019 tax return.
